Download Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Book Online"Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter 'H'."

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

The amazing popularity of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone means that now even Muggles know about the Leaky Cauldron, Diagon Alley, and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Whether or not you've read about Harry, this unabridged audiobook brings his world to life. Reader Jim Dale brings an excellent range of voices to the characters, from well-meaning Hermione's soft, earnest voice to Malfoy's nasal droning; from Professor McGonagall's crisp brogue to Hagrid's broad Somerset accent; and from snarling Mr. Filch to p-p-poor, st-tuttering P-Professor Quirrel. Some of the characterizations are peculiar--why do the centaurs have Welsh accents?--but that's a small price to pay to hear one of the myriad ways to sing the Hogwarts School song. Harry Potter fans of all ages--Muggle or not--will enjoy curling up with a few chocolate frogs, a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans ("Alas! Ear wax!"), and this marvelous, magical audiobook.

With more than seven million copies of Sorcerer's Stone and its two sequels sold in the U.S. in a year's time, it would be hard to find many school-age children who haven't at least heard of Harry Potter. British author Rowling's tales of a young wizard-in-training who attends the unusual Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have enchanted children (and their parents, too) like no books before them. Now, with this sharp audio production, those who haven't yet met Harry will soon be swept up in the fun, and established Potter fans will delight in hearing Harry's adventures anew. British actor and Broadway star Dale is an inspired choice as narrator, reading with a light, assured air that makes Harry's fantastic, sometimes dangerous, world very real, while never losing sight of Rowling's humorous underpinnings. His numerous vocal characterizations are dead-on, especially his fast-talking take on Harry's sweet but overachieving witch friend Hermione Granger. A gruff and sensitive Hagrid (the school's gamekeeper), evil Malfoy, kindly Dumbledore and appropriately Scottish Professor McGonagall are also crisply distinctive. The combination of Rowling's exquisitely evocative writing and Dale's nimble reading make this a magical addition to the bewitching Harry Potter canon.

The definitive guide to the characters, droids, aliens, and creatures of Star Wars: The Force Awakens™. Beautiful photography and clear, authoritative text by Lucasfilm insider Pablo Hidalgo names and explains all the details of costumes, weapons, and accessories. Includes three exclusive, specially commissioned cutaway models produced by Industrial Light & Magic model maker John Goodson.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary is a 80-page hardcover book that covers the characters, set and props. While vehicles and spaceships are also included, you'll see them in more detail and huge in the other book Star Wars: The Force Awakens Incredible Cross-Sections.

The pictures are laid out like infographics. Each main subject has lots of labels and descriptions attached. Main characters are all in like Rey, Finn, BB-8, Poe, Kylo Ren, Stormtroopers, Flametroopers, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and many more. The noticeably missing ones would be (Oops, spoilers!) Luke Skywalker and Supreme Leader Snoke. If they are in the movie, I don't know why they aren't in the book, not even a mere mention or small coverage, since there's no mystery behind them anymore for fans who have watched the film.

But overall, it's a fantastic book. It's so detailed. Such as for Kylo Ren, it also includes the interrogation chair, interrogation tools, vader's mask, Kylo Ren's helmet, and a close up cross-section of Kylo's lightsaber. I've always thought the lightsabers were powered by lithium batteries? Kidding. But it does show all the mechanism that make the lightsaber work.

Great Resource and Collection Item!

This is an excellent resource book. Purchased it for my adult brother and Godson, along with the Star Wars character encyclopedia as part n of their Christmas gifts. My brother perused it all night as it provided even deeper meaning into new characters he was introduced to in The Force Awakens. This is definitely a valuable addition to your Star Wars collection.

Read Grounded: The Adventures of Rapunzel Online"Think you know Rapunzel's story? Think again, because the tower was only the beginning..." -- Jennifer Nielsen, New York Times bestselling author of THE FALSE PRINCE

In all of Tyme, from the Redlands to the Grey, no one is as lucky as Rapunzel. She lives in a magic tower that obeys her every wish; she reads wonderful books starring herself as the heroine; her hair is the longest, most glorious thing in the world. And she knows this because Witch tells her so---her beloved Witch, who protects her from evil princes, the dangerous ground under the tower, even unhappy thoughts. Rapunzel can't imagine any other life.

Then a thief named Jack climbs into her room to steal one of her enchanted roses. He's the first person Rapunzel's ever met who isn't completely charmed by her (well, the first person she's met at all, really), and he is infuriating-- especially when he hints that Witch isn't telling her the whole truth. Driven by anger at Jack and her own nameless fears, Rapunzel descends to the ground for the first time, and finds a world filled with more peril than Witch promised and more beauty, wonder, and adventure than she could have dreamed.

=====>> CLICK HERE TO READ BOOK ONLINE <<=====

This was a whole new take on the story of Rapunzel. As someone who enjoys reading fairy tales, and especially renditions different than the original, this was a fun and engaging story that will let you see Rapunzel and her feelings about the Witch. Rapunzel is definitely a bit conflicted when it comes to the Witch as you see in this book seeing that she was what she thought of as her mother as well as her captor.

The author of this book truly captures some great adventure and action in this story but combines this with a light wit and humor that makes the story fun and easy to read. My daughter and I read this together and we both found that we were very interested to see what would happen never to Rapunzel and the other characters that we met throughout the book.

This invigorating story is perfect for fans of the movie Tangled, readers of fairy tales, and anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure. As one of my favorite reads ever, I can’t wait to flip through these pages again and again, soaking up the magic of Rapunzel and Jack’s journey. Grounded has addicted me to the world of Tyme, and I wish all the speed of the fairies for the next book to come along.

Twenty years ago, all the evil villains were banished from the kingdom of Auradon to the Isle of the Lost--a dark and dreary place protected by a force field that makes it impossible for them to leave. Stripped of their magical powers, the villains now live in total isolation, forgotten by the world.

Mal learns from her mother, Maleficent, that the key to true darkness, the Dragon's Eye, is located inside her scepter in the forbidden fortress on the far side of the island. The eye is cursed, and whoever retrieves it will be knocked into a deep sleep for a thousand years. But Mal has a plan to capture it. She'll just need a little help from her "friends." In their quest for the Dragon's Eye, these four kids begin to realize that just because you come from an evil family tree, being good ain't so bad.

What I Loved: The characters were easily the best part of this book. It was so much fun seeing all of our favorite Disney villains, their children, and even some of our favorite Disney heroes/heroines. These poor kids have to live in the infamous shadow of their parents and they have to deal with their craziness. I could totally see each villain behaving like they did in this book if they had children. Mal, Jay, Carlos, and Evie were excellent characters that I can see young readers connecting to. It was interesting seeing them being raised to be evil and like their parents, yet having them feel like that may not be who they’re meant to be. You also get to see a lot of the “sidekicks” in this book, like the dwarfs, goblins, Flounder, Cinderella’s mice, etc. They’ve got problems of their own, too, you know.

I would definitely recommend this book to any and all Disney fans and fans of retellings. I can tell this is going to be an amazing series and I love that it was also made into a Disney Channel Original Movie, with some of my favorite Disney Channel actors. Yes, I watch Disney Channel shows/movies with my kids (and even without them sometimes) and I’m not ashamed to admit that I like them. The Descendants was such a cute and fun read. I really loved it!

In their first encounter, demigod Percy Jackson and magician Carter Kane had to battle a giant crocodile on Long Island. A month later, Annabeth Chase ran into Carter's sister, Sadie, on the A train to Rockaway, where the pair fought a god named Serapis. Now trouble is brewing again, this time on Governor's Island. An ancient Egyptian magician named Setne has come back from the dead and is experimenting with Egyptian and Greek magic, trying to become a god himself. He's so powerful and tricky that all four Percy, Annabeth, Carter, and Sadie have to team up against him. But their usual weapons and spells aren't going to cut it this time. Will the heroes be taken down by a wannabe god who looks like Elvis, or will they rise to the challenge? Told from Percy's point of view, this third demigod-magician crossover story has all of the spunk and action that Rick Riordan fans crave.

The Crown of Ptolemy (Heroes of Olympus, The) Review

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this novella, I always knew Percy and Sadie would get along if they met, same for Carter and Annabeth! I was amused by Percy's thoughts about how Sadie was exactly what he though a daughter of his and Annabeth would be like! Looking like Annabeth but acting like him! Lol! There was a lot of action in the story, it was only short so I read it in one sitting!

Familiar characters, new connections
I'm really enjoying these crossover stories of Rick Riordan's. I liked the Percy Jackson series as well as the Kane chronicles and the Lost Hero series so it's great to see this extension of the material. Really interesting, too, to see how Riordan develops the premise of combining Egyptian and Greek magics through the Ptolemy connection. I'm looking forward to his forthcoming book about Asgard and I'm hoping that eventually he'll be able to follow through and connect all these mythic systems.
The previous stories each set up a connection, first between Percy and Carter, the second between Sadie and Annabeth. This brings all four together. It's an enjoyable adventure which leaves the way open to extend further. Looking forward to it.

This was a good book!
This was a really good book! I've read all the Rick Riordan books and I'm a total fan! I thought this ebook tied the three ebooks in the series nicely. It still left room for hopefully a whole series of novels about the mixing of Greek and Egyptian magic!
From what Percy said, I'm guessing that this ebook happens after the Blood of Olympus and I think that was about Leo when he said that he was tired of making friends and then his friends leaving and some not coming back i.e. Leo. Another reviewer was right, Percy did seem a little dumb in this book! I mean he was so mature in the Blood of Olympus and in this book it seemed like he went back to his 12 year old immature self! I just wanted him to act more mature than that. I mean he literally went to hell and back! Also his relationship with Annabeth wasn't really what I was expecting! They seemed to kinda be nitpicking at each other and they didn't seem that close. Their relationship had evolved so much since from the first book to the Blood of Olympus and in this book their relationship was like, I like you, but i'm still annoyed with you! Carter and Sadie where awesome though! But I wish that it had been from two POVs maybe Percy's and Sadie's so we could see the fight from the Kane's POV!
I think that Rick should make a novel series about the Crown getting stolen from the first Nome and being stolen by some evil Villain. Then Sadie, Carter, Percy and Annabeth would bring Camp Jupiter, Camp Half Blood, and the Brooklyn Nome together to fight back the evil and save the world. That would be the best thing ever! And it could be five books.
Anyways, onto the sample of Magnus Chase! It was amazing and I cannot wait to read the series.

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary: Updated and Expanded Review

Wonderful LEGO book with an exclusive Luke Skywalker minifig
The book alone is worth the price, as it covers every single LEGO Star Wars release up to the current 2014 sets. In this edition, there is also the inclusion of a minifig gallery that was sorely lacking in the previous edition of the book.
Plus there is the retro Luke Skywalker minifig that is exclusive to this release, which if past, out of print book release minifig prices continue to climb as they have, this book is a fantastic bargain, and for the serious collector you may want to purchase multiple copies for "safe keeping".

Updated edition you just cannot miss
‘LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary’ prepared by Simon Beecroft and Jason Fry is an updated and thicker edition of the best-selling book that since 2009 was one of the most common choices for those in love with Lego and The Force.
The original book was released on the 10th anniversary of the Lego Star Wars theme, this one on the 15th anniversary and given how great add-on this book will be in each fan collection we can only guess what awaits us after 5 years.
But back to this book - it is a very good full-colored work that can certainly be recommended to all the fans of Lego Star Wars who still have not bought older edition, but also to those who have the older edition because this is not an example of a book that just wants to draw extra money from fans, being even better than the original.

Dear Zoo is twenty-five years old and still as popular as ever!
And with an updated look, this classic children's storybook about a youngster loooking for a perfect pet is sure to delight a new generation of readers!

My daughter has loved this book from the very beginning. She was fascinated by the animals revealed when I lifted the flaps, and then had a great time learning how to lift the flaps herself as she grew older. She's a year old now and brings it to me to read to her more than any other book that we have. She gets a kick out of the animal sounds we make when we lift the flaps, too. It's the only lift-the-flap book we have that she hasn't managed to tear off any flaps.

Dear Zoo: A Lift-the-Flap Book (Dear Zoo & Friends) Review

A favorite with my two year old
This is a great early book. The zoo sends various animals as a pet but they are all unsuitable for some reason (the giraffe is too tall, the monkey is too naughty etc). Finally they send the perfect present: a puppy! The language is simple (in fact, this book was recommended to me by a speech pathologist) and the humor is perfect for the 2-4 age group. My son loves lifting up the flaps and making noises for all the different animals hidden below. The flaps are also cleverly illustrated so that enough of the animal is visible to allow the child to guess which one is being sent. I must have read it to my son more than 100 times but neither of us are tired of it yet!

Perfect for my 18 month old
I have three daughters 18 month ,3 and 5 years old. My 18 month old can't get enough of this cute book. She is so excited every time she open one of the flaps. This book is simple enough for my 5 yr old to read it and my 3year old makes great sound effects for each flap. I recommend for 3 month the about age 6.

Something tells me it's all happening at the zoo
Tis the ultimate interactive story for the young `uns. An unseen narrator (who we assume must be a child of some sort) narrates a tale of unprecedented zooish generosity. After asking the zoo for a pet, a series of animals are sent in the hope that the child will want them. Unfortunately (and as the book makes clear) many of animals one finds at the zoo are inappropriate pets. Each animal that arrives is hidden beneath a flap. When you lift the flap the children to whom you are reading this tale are supposed to delightedly cry out the name of that particular animal. In this way, you can teach kids the kinds of animals that live at the zoo. For the narrator, though, elephants are too big, lions too fierce, monkeys to naughty, and frogs too jumpy. In the end, the narrator receives a small hamper with the note, "From all your friends at the zoo" containing the perfect pet.

From soaring to high heights and seeing great sights to being left in a Lurch on a prickle-ly perch, Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within. In a starred review, Booklist notes: “Seuss’s message is simple but never sappy: life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all ‘There’s fun to be done.’”

Oh, The Places You'll Go! Review

As I embark on yet ANOTHER new chapter of my life, I find I am constantly questioning my every move, encountering new crossroads and rebuilding my somewhat depleting self-belief. Last night my best friend Shannon called me on the phone asking if she could read me a bedtime story. It's been more than 20 years since someone asked me if they could read to me before bed but I instantly reverted to my childhood and out of habit curled up in bed and asked 'what's the book called' before she even opened a page. As the words flowed through her lips, I was dumbfounded at how closely it related to my own life ... it was like Dr. Seuss wrote ME a book. Oh, the Places You'll Go answered EVERY question I have been asking myself for months. All my 'what ifs' 'ands' or 'buts' are no more. All too soon, Shannon came to the end and closed the book, I was speechless and tearful but ironically, I had new zest and energy pumping through my veins ... I wanted to jump to my feet and scream 'I'm going to do it ... I'm going to climb to the top!!! Dr. Seuss makes reference to people in the 'waiting period' where so many of us stay out of fear ... I'm not scared any more!!! No matter how old one is when they pick up this book, it will reflect on their present life and put it into perspective. The next time you find yourself 'questioning', pick up Oh, the Places You'll Go, or better yet have someone read it outloud .. listen to the words, let them seep through your pours and I guarantee
